We have decided to give each other different jobs this week to make sure everything gets done and everyone plays there part in the final presentation and the project itself. Tyler has done some animation work and has made sure our slideshow looks good and how we wanted to. He has also supplied us with the golf clubs we have been using the entire project. Brady has been editing videos and getting the best videos of each week to show each persons accurate progression considering the hundred of videos we took. She has also been good at keeping the blogs updated and organized. Brady and Aubrey have both made sure to keep up with taking pictures and videos of the whole process to insure we have all the content we could possibly need. Aubrey has made sure we can get to Bermuda Run by being the only person in the group with her license and has put in the videos in the presentation. Hayden has supplied us with the golf cart and the access to Bermuda Run golf course without having to pay and helped Brady a lot with the weekly blogs. We have all been considerate when playing and making sure we all remember that we are in a publicly shared place. We are all very grateful we were able to do this and are happy we all could get together. GHG out.

We have finished the website are are happy with it. We have all found pictures of ourselves and have introduced each of us on the About Us page. We have decided to keep our website to a simple look and have all worked on it throughout this week. We have uploaded all of our blogs up till this week and have our presentation almost finished. Looking back at this project there are some things we wished we would have done differently. We wished we would have realized how much planning is worth and what ways we were going t show the class our progression, instead of changing it up halfway through. Although, we do like how we started this project fairly early and how we all work together really well. We all have fun every time we work together and get things done, wether we procrastinate them or not.
Last week was our last time getting together to play golf. We are now working on the presentation and have some videos to edit. We have been slacking on getting all of our blogs together since we have videos to show our progression. We have started the presentation and are glad we started playing sooner because we are just now noticing all the things we need to put into the presentation. We are all planning on getting all our videos together to show our progression over the weeks we have played. We still have some things to get put together on our website and plan on getting it all done before week 11 so week 12 we can work on our final presentation mainly and get all of our stuff finished. Aubrey has been out of town without wifi so me (Brady), Tyler, and Hayden have been working on the blogs. We miss playing together but will do it again whenever it isn't absolutely freezing outside.
This week we played golf at Bermuda Run. This is most likely our last week golfing together for this project. We are comfortable about this being our last time getting together because we all have improved on our swings and have mostly reached our beginning goals we had set. We all really enjoyed getting together to learn more and improve more about a common interest we all four share. The next three weeks we are solely focused on the presentation and editing all the videos we have taken to put into our final presentation. We are all glad we decided to stop using scorecards because they were heard to keep up with and we wanted a better representation of our progression. We have been recording ourselves to look back on but we had to idea to show them for our presentation to let everyone know how much we all have improved.
This weekend there was a golf tournament again so we couldn’t play as long as we usually do. We decided to just work on the presentation and get the layout of what we want to get done after we got in as much golfing as we could, considered the amount of people out on the course. We want to make something simple but get everything on there to be able to practice it before we present. We haven't started the presentation but have an idea of what we want to include. We don't know how we are going to show the gradual progression with videos in the presentation but we will make it work. We have gotten better at scheduling and know when each of us can play which was pretty hard towards the beginning.
We played golf again at Bermuda Run, of course. We decided that we don‘t need to get scorecards to keep our score and in order to show progression. Instead we are taking videos of all the best hits we do whenever we meet up because it is more organized and an easier way to show our progression to the class. We are still hitting a good amount of holes and we have more fun each time we go. We have to work on the planning of course and there have been tournaments going on at Bermuda Run so we can’t go and play the same holes we have been going to. It has been taking longer to get through the 9 holes we try to hit because of all the different people and things going on on the course.
We are almost done with our golf playing time and have been spending more time on the presentation. I (Brady) have been struggling with my shoulder injury so that is still holding me back when it comes to my progression. I can still come and be with the group when we play but I just won't be able to perform at my best. We have gotten good at filming pretty much everything and we are excited to show people what we have all been doing, We’re starting to think about our presentation this week since we couldn’t play golf. We’re starting to slack a little bit and we need to get back on track. It has gotten really hard to keep playing because of everyone’s schedule. We are in the process of deciding what template we are going to use for our slide show and once we do that we will start adding in the information that is needed. We all have so many things to do lately and I (Brady) can’t swing like I used to. I’m still laying low due to my tendonitis in my shoulder. Winter sports are coming up and all of us play a sport so we’re going to have to discuss what we need to do in order to get our golf in. We all are starting to have a pretty packed schedule and it is starting to get pretty cold outside. We still plan to get together a few more times but as it gets colder and into winter sports we are going to spend that time editing and getting our presentation together.
This day we went back to Bermuda Run of course. Every time we go, we hit at least 6-10 holes. We have gotten really good at going and getting what we need to get done. We have procrastinated really bad in the past and have laid off playing for the week. We are glad we started pretty early because we have come to realize that we can’t do this anymore and we’re going to get our golf in. We plan on starting to think about the presentation so it doesn't get done last minute. We all work together really well, but we have trouble still with planning and getting plans together that aren’t last minute. We also have trouble keeping up with how we score and how each of us do. We are all showing improvement in how we hit and how we improve over the weeks by taking videos and making sure everyone feels as if they have hit enough to show an adequate representation of each of ours progression.
This week we went to Bermuda Run and played 9 holes. This is the longest we've played golf and we need to start doing this every week from now on. This week we were really focused and in a good mood, so we were successful and it was our best week by far. We have been hitting the ball far, but we just don’t hit it very accurately and the ball doesn’t go where we want it to go. Aubrey hit a ball into the road, possibly hitting a car, then Hayden nuked a house and we had to book back onto the golf cart and zoom away. Just by those two examples, you can tell we need a little more practice.
We have been working on all the things we have struggled with in the past and we are seeing improvement. We need to work on getting together more frequently so we can get our golf time in. We listened to some W songs from W albums, talk about straight gas. This week was the week that showed all of us that we are enjoying what we are doing and have talked about going to play with each other in the future. This week we went to Bermuda Run again to practice golf. We are starting to see improvements slowly within this week, which is our goal. We played at 5 different holes and typically hit three over par, hopefully, we can improve to hit one or two over par within the next few weeks. We weren't really feeling it today and everyone was feeling a little off. I think homecoming and late nights made everyone tired. Brady hurt her shoulder a few weeks ago and she is planning on getting an MRI here soon. It could slow us down because she can't play as well, but hopefully, she can still play.
We are seeing improvements in how we plan things and have all come to an understanding of our schedules and how we need to plan in advance. Some of our struggles this week were the lack of enthusiasm and the lack of focus. We need to lock in and focus more on our scoring and how we perform on the golf course. Next week we will play 9 holes and keep our scorecards and base our improvement on the cards for the rest of the project. We will keep scoring each week until we finish the project to keep up with our scores and improvements. We are planning on taking a break this upcoming week since all of us have very packed schedules, but we will get back on track the week after next and hopefully regain our enthusiasm for the next time we play. For week two doing this project, we went to the driving range in Tanglewood. We all came together and went to go practice our swings and hits before we went to an actual golf course. This was a good idea to do since all of us still had some improvements to do on our swings. In the upcoming weeks, we plan to hit up an actual course to start our scorecards. We are all excited to see our progression and improvement throughout the upcoming weeks. We like Bermuda Run better, but the driving range is so quiet and dones't quite fit our vibe.
Some of our problems were finding a place where we didn’t bother other people that came out to hit and we are kind of loud. This was the week we really began to like the idea of golf and decide on how each week should be planned out. We play golf usually every Sunday, and after we feel as if we know how to swing efficiently, we are going to start playing 9 holes every time we meet up and keep our score. For our first week tackling this english project, we worked on planning and scheduling. Scheduling is definitely our hardest part to figure out, but I think we got the basics down. We have discussed the days we need to meet up and what we need to accomplish that day to stay on track with our progression.
First we went to the Bermuda Run golf course to see if we liked the idea of golf and to see where we all started at. We had some doubts and by the second time we met up, we were discussing different project ideas. We then came to the conclusion that golf was the best way to accomplish a goal that all of us shared in common, which is to improve on anything to do with golf. Some of us were better at it than others, but all of us still have room to improve. As a group, we were struggling with planning when and where we were going to meet up. The first time we met to play we didn't go in with a strategy on how we're going to track our improvement over the weeks. We thought it would be a good idea to meet up a second time within the first week to really understand the scheduling needed to make this project work. We changed our approach to how we were going to track our improvement, which was by going to practice our swings and hits at a driving range instead of going straight into golfing on a course. We liked the idea of our first week being a starting point at showing all of our fresh capabilities and to show how much we know about golf at the very beginning. For our second week we plan to find a designated day in which we play golf, and have goals set for each time we play to accomplish everything we want each time we meet up in order to accurately show our progression. |
